Nourvi ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered meal planning application. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we use it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account data: name, email address, and authentication credentials.
• Health & nutrition profile: age, gender, weight, height, activity level, dietary preferences, food allergies, and health goals.
• Usage data: meal plans generated, food logs, and in-app interactions.
• Apple Health data (optional): weight and activity data you choose to share, used solely to personalise your meal targets.
• Device data: device type, OS version, and crash logs for diagnostics.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalised meal plans and grocery lists.
• Sync your nutrition and weight data with Apple Health (only if you grant permission).
• Send you service-related communications (e.g. plan-ready notifications).
• Improve our AI models and app features using aggregated, anonymised data.
• Process subscription payments through Apple in-app purchases (we never see your payment details).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: hosting, AI inference (OpenAI/OpenRouter), and analytics — bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Apple: for authentication and subscription management via Sign in with Apple and App Store.
• Legal obligations: if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Health Data

Health data (weight, activity) from Apple Health is read only when you explicitly grant permission and is used solely to calculate your calorie targets. This data is never shared with third parties and is deleted with your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Nourvi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below or use the in-app Delete Account feature.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Nourvi after changes constitutes acceptance.
